Gridlines not printing.

I have a number of spreadsheets created in Excel 2007. When I print a sheet only some of the grid-lines actually appear on the printout. If I save the sheet as a pdf and then print, all the grid-lines appear ok.

Any suggestions as to what may be causing this?
