Excel file will not open on some, but will on a few.

I have an 11 worksheet document that is roughly 30 rows x 10 columns. Page 3-10 has several columns that are linked to page 2. I have used this spreadsheet (without the links) for several months now, and with the links for a week or two. Just recently I was upgraded to the newest Windows version of excel and since then several people have not been able to open the document. Their excel will just freeze. They all have 2010. However, a couple can open it just fine, they also have 2010. I had one of those open it and resave it as a 2010 and now it takes several minutes for it to even open on mine. File size is roughly 3mb.

I took the file and copied/pasted everything into a new workbook and the results are the same.

    Help

    *Update

Had a 2010 person that could open, re-save and now it appears that the others that previously could not open can now, after a couple minutes of loading. Nothing has changed in the forms except text. Nothing that should only work on mine and not other excels.

There are differences between Excel2016 and Excel2010 and, despite what Microsoft say, backwards compatability can cause problems even if you are not using new features & functions not available in earlier releases.(been there, got that T-shirt!)
This type of problem can waste a lot of time and you may never fix it.
It is unhelpful when people in the same organisation use different versions of software. I have Excel2016 and Excel2010 running on my PC - they work happily alongside each other. Suggest you re-install 2010 on your PC and only use that for this particular file, until everyone else is also on Excel2016.
