Format the cell as 00########

But this will not allow me to calculate with the the numbers with zeros infront. I need to add 00 so the numbers change.
Not sure I understand. If I multiply the formatted numbers by 2, it generates a number and if I format them the same as the cells holding the two zeros, I get the result with two zeros preceding. But this will not allow me to calculate with the the numbers with zeros infront. I need to add 00 so the numbers change.

If I do that with 1.4731302849212, which is a cell value, then the cell will show 001. But the intrinsic value is still 1.4731302849212.
Well in the other thread I was seeking a macro to solve the problem. I don't see how that is identical.
I cannot replicate your issue. See below my results
v A B C 1 001.47313028 002.94626057
It is not a macro or formula issue. It is a formatting issue.
Okay mine is clearly not working. So as it stands right now I got a cell with the value of 1.4731302849212. I want it to be 0.0147 and so on.
Are you suggesting right click, then format cells --> custom --> and typing in 00#####?
That is not working in my sheet
Have you tried
Right click the cell ≥format cell≥ custom> then type 000.00000000
The count of 0 should be the same with the count of your numbers displayed in the cell
Yes, this will not change the value of the cell
Clearly there has been confusion. If you wish a number such as 1.565 to be 0.01565, then it is a simple case of dividing by 100, ie =1.565/100. Or am I missing something here? In your original thread, you indicated that you wanted the number presented as having two zeros, but made no mention of changing the value. Which is your case???
Alansidman, I will use your methodology by dividing by 100 and then replace all .
That works. I appreciate all your inputs!
