Filtering data based on couple criterias

    Hello guys,

I was wondering if you can help me with this one. Basically, what I want to happen is this:

I would like to be able to filter the data from the picture below by product type. The formatting of the data, however is a bit messed up and sometimes the product name is not full, but lets say only WPS-402. So I need some kind of "smart" filter which can recognize only fragments of the cell. The other thing is that let us say I want to get the latest price for the 402 version. As you can see there are several price updates for some of the products and I would like to see the latest one.

I hope I made it clear what I want and I hope that you can help me with this

    Dear,

    1. Apply Filter to complete Table,
    2. In Product Name Click on Filter Button
    3. Select Text Filter
    4. Contain (Here you can write any criteria, WPS-402)
    5. Then Select Filter and sort it to Z-A

The first record will be the required one.

    Hope it helps.

Thank you for the quick reply, Imran Actually I was thinking more about having it a bit more automated, with a formula, or a macro. I know how to do it by hand.
