    Copying a formula that references to the right and down

    Racking my head on a formula format. Let's say you want to create an output table for the equation of multiplying the x versus y value in a table. I want to fill in the whole table by copying the formula. So for example if A2 was 2 and B1 was 3, then in cell B2 it would be A2*B1 and the answer would be 6. See below
    A2=2
    B1=3
    Then B2=6 by using the formula A2*B1

    Now say the table looked like:

    3 4 7 10 4
    2 6
    5
    8
    6

    How can I type a formula into B2 and drag it to fill out the rest of the table? PLEASE note, the formula I am using will actually not just be a product of x and y but includes a link to another cell reference. So really the formula in actually B2 is A2*B1+(expenses*1.02^year)

    thanks
    chris

    Suggest using partial absolute references

    =$A2*B$1

    "mrice" I am kicking myself right now, I used the dollar sign in the wrong sequence multiple times and figured I needed to use an alternative sumproduct for the arrays. Ugh Thanks chris
