Hello. I'm doing copy paste values on 100,000 rows and excel freezes up everytime. Why is this happening? I put calculations on manual and all I see is a cell (press esc to cancel) at the bottom of my sheet.

I tried the same exercise on another worksheet and it worked fine. The worksheet is 15mb so maybe that has something to do with it?
This is a smaller worksheet file and it still is not working. Can someone please test? I'm trying to copy paste values in column B. Thanks.
There is something wrong with Sheet1.
Select the data in sheet1 and copy and Paste Values into a new worksheet...I encountered no problems doing this but sheet1 was impossible.

Were you able to copy OVER the formulas or did you just copy paste into a seperate column?
I selected both column A and B together and Pasted Values into a new worksheet.
Were you able to copy paste values/formulas into worksheet 2 and then paste VALUES in the same column?
I was able to copy paste value (of the formulas) into a different column but when I copy over the formulas it freezes up. So that's what I did, I copied into another column. HOWEVER, excel won't let me delete the original formulas. It freezes up if I try to delete them. 80,000 rows of this formula =IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(A2, $A$1:$A1, 0)), 0, 1)
The same thing happened to me. That is why I copied both columns A and B to another worksheet. It was quick, easy, and worked. Something wrong in one or both of those two columns so I did away with them by copying and pasting values to a new worksheet.
Right but how do you delete the old formulas? I don't want those formulas slowing down my spreadhsheet. Thanks for your help.
When I try to delete it freezes up as well.
I just deleted the old worksheet without trying to delete anything on it.
When you copy and then Paste Values into a new worksheet, you don't have any formulae to delete. That is why you paste values. If this still doesn't work on a new worksheet, then I suspect that the workbook is corrupted somehow.
Yeah, that makes sense. I'm just curious as to why this formula =IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(A2, $A$1:$A1, 0)), "Dupe", "")--or maybe any formula--corrupts the sheet. Because I copy pasted values from sheet 1, then added the formula and the same issue occurred.
I don't think that it is the formula. I substituted the formula for this one and it didn't make any difference
