    Simplifying a Formula

    Hi everyone need some help about my formula. I have a formula sample below my problem is how can i simplify this formula so that it will easy to understand. Thank you in advance!

    For these kind of searches it is more useful to create a two-column table where 1st is what you search and 2nd is the result. This will make your formula much smaller (and more efficient) and it would be much easier to update or replace keywords.

    If you not sure how to do that here is an example

    Assuming text strings are in col A, the search items are in Col D and results in Col E

    Enter formula in B2 and copy down

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    thank you for response. i was wondering what do you mean by this formula "LOOKUP(10^308 and --SEARCH" i mean the symbol you used "^,--". thank you again
