X-axis labels on two separate lines. Office 2011 Mac

I posted this down in the Word help forum but thought it might fit in here too. Any help would be appreciated!!!

I have a graph and the x-axis values drop down to a separate line halfway through the graph. How can I get them to remain on the same line? I will include a picture with the graph in question. The problem part is in the red box. Thanks!!!

I'm not sure if we will be able to help much based solely on a picture. If you can, upload a sample spreadsheet that exhibits the problem so we can effectively look at the actual values in the X axis labels range and the formatting of the axis and such.

When I open the file, I see that the axis labels are all on one line, but there is an unexpected odd character at the front of each axis label. This character appears to be either a "Start of Text" character (ASCII code 2) or "End of Text" character (ASCII code 3). I would guess that these characters are causing a "line feed" type operation on your machine. My first suggestion for a solution is to remove these characters from the horizontal axis labels. Select the chart -> Chart tools -> Design -> Select Data -> Horizontal Category Axis labels click on the "Edit" button -> Edit the array constant so that these extra characters are removed from each label.

Thanks. Re-selecting the x-axis labels fixed it!!
