To make a graph with a single Y-axes but two different ranges

    Hi all,

I would like to know if it is possible in excel to make a (line) graph where I have just one Y-axis but with different interval (ranges).
In my case my values go from 0 to 1,8000,000 (hectares) but most of my values are concentrated between 0 and 800,000 and just one data set in 1,780,000.
I would like to "amplify" for a better visual interpretation the range between 0 and 800,000 where I have most of the values (lines in this case).

Thank you very much in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Carolina

Clarification, are you wanting a "line" chart, or an XY scatter chart? Since I would not expect much of a problem with this using a "line" chart, I am assuming you are wanting an XY Scatter chart.

My first thought is to plot the data in a "panel chart" (tutorial here: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsH...venScales.html ). The tutorial is for different Y ranges with the panels stacked vertically. Once you understand how he puts this chart together, it should be fairly straightforward to adapt to different X ranges with panels arranged side by side. You could have one panel showing the data between 0 and 1E6 hectares to show the variation between those values, then have the 2nd panel that goes from 0 to 2E6 hectares to show the final data point in relation to the others.
