How to stretch a plot's data by 25%

    Hello,

So I have production data vs. date and I am trying to stretch this so that it takes 25% longer to reach the same final ultimate production but 25% longer. The curve is not linear.

I've been trying many things like modifying a slope, and other math functions but I cannot wrap my head around how to do it in Excel. Any thoughts? Has someone done something like this before?

    Thanks

Did any of the math functions work for you, and you are not sure how to program the modified function into Excel, or are you still trying to figure out how to modify the function? If the former, explain to us your modified function, and we'll be able to help you program that into Excel. If the latter, we will probably need a better description of what you currently have and exactly what modification(s) need to be made.

    Hello,

Can you please be more specific and state some examples with the desired results.
You can also attach a sample workbook by clicking on "Go Advanced" button below the typing area and then selecting the "Paper Clip" icon from the tools above.

This would be easier to answer if we could see the workbook but my guess is that you just need to create another series where the incremental values are the same magnitude but scaled over the longer period. For instance if your data is spread over the 31 days of January then derive the daily increments but scale them by 31/38.

Either that where you adjust the values or you scale the dates so that the same 31 cells of dates are equally distributed between 38 days
