Finding similar items between two excel columns and puth them in the new column

Hi all friends,
I have an easy question for you.
I have two large columns, one is "data" plus a number in parentheses and another is "reference" (please take a look at the attached sample). "data" column is the part of "reference"; I would like to put the similar items from "data" column with "reference" in the new column (the third column), something like colored in red in the attached sample. Please help me out how I can do it?
