Update automatically links to another workbook

Good afternoon,

I have a database excel table which creates automatically a document for each new entry, based on the attached template (for info, actual template file extension is .xltm but can not be attached as such as per forum restrictions).

This template which is located on my local disk, is linked to another workbook located on a server (file source - here attached also). For info, when this document is created, the dates "from"......."to"...... are automatically updated from my database and the quotations down should be automatically calculated based on those dates extracting the relevant price from the document saved on the server (file source).

I did all the steps I found on internet to update the links automatically (FILE/OPTIONS/ADVANCED / WHEN CALCULATING THIS WORKBOOK / UPDATE LINKS TO OTHER DOCUMENTS unchecked, data/edit links/change source, etc) but the links are still not working......

Moreover I would like that the file created based on this template is automatically updated without opening the file source.

Can someone help me to fix this?
