    Track Scores

    Hi all,

OK, let me say this up front. I am TERRIBLE with Excel. My daughter is a competitive gymnast and I merely want to build a sheet that will track her scores throughout the season. She has had 3 meets so far. Attached is the makings of said sheet. I just want this to look pretty and display the meet name and her score in each event. There are 4 events and an All-Around (AA) score. No calculations or formulas are needed. I've seen people make sheets where text is in "hidden" cells, and I'm sure that is the incorrect terminology. I'd also like to show the place in which she landed per event. But I'm not sure how to structure it. It's merely all tabular data. Can someone help me with this?

    Thanks!

    Chris

    Re: Track Scores

    Hi Ace,

That's pretty cool. Thanks! How could I add a column after each score for place? For example, if her 8.800 on the Bars was good for 5th place, how could that be added? Or if not a column, another way? Not sure how to do all that and format it intelligently. Same would go for AA place. No need for rows 10 and 11 as far as I can tell...

    Like so..?

    The headings are merged cells

For adding new meets simply add columns

    Re: Track Scores

    Hi again,

Yeah! That's the general idea. So for my learning, how did you combine cells in C/D, E/F, etc for meet names and yet split them for scores and places underneath. And how can I add future meets going forward? Wanna learn something while I'm here... Can't remain a dunce forever... LOL!

    Re: Track Scores

Here is another idea for you. It is a vertical arrangement in a table of the Meets with a column for dates. The scores are then averaged at the for all events to-date.
