Hi All,

I need help. I have 2 spreadsheets. In both spreadsheets COLUMN A is the same: Client Name.

The rest of the Columns in both spreadsheets, ie, Columns B to XY have information, text information, no numbers. (ie, I cannot used the consolidate data functions)

Some clients appears on both spreadsheets, others appear on one and not on the other.

I wanted to merge the spreadsheets, so that, I have a new single spreadsheet that has merged the information from columns b-xy from the 2 separate spreadsheets into one spreadsheet. The columns have different headings, the only things that is the same is the client names.

I want excel to match the client names from the two spreadsheets and merge the information for that clients from the two spreadsheets into one.


For ex:

Spreadsheet 1

A1: Name
b1: Hair colour
c1: height
d1: ***

Spreadsheet 2

a1: name
b1: address
b2 : country of origin
b3: destination country

I want the merged spreadsheet to look like this:

A1: Name
b1: Hair colour
c1: height
d1: ***
e1: name
f1: address
g1 : country of origin
h1: destination country
