convert page of text into a Membar file

Hi guys,

first post and unfortunately am a complete ammateur when it comes to excel, so I was hoping someone could help me.

I'm trying to create a valid Membar text file to load into my software, but am really struggling.

If you have no idea what I'm going on about, Membar is a piece of software that you use to learn a language. You create a text file with word pairs (e.g. English : Portuguese) and then once you load the file into the software, it loops the word pairs at the top of your screen. (http://www.membar.co.uk/en/)

Anyway, I need to create a text file in the format of:

English : Portuguese
English : Portuguese
English : Portuguese
English : Portuguese

etc.

Now I've found a site that lists 100 common portuguese verbs (https://quizlet.com/64428080/100-mos...s-flash-cards/) but when I highlight the text and stick it into excel, I get this:

arrive arrived
chegar

ask asked
pedir, perguntar

be was / were
ser, estar



what I'm really trying to do is take the text from every third row, starting with 1 (e.g. 1,4,7,10,13) and place it into column B

I then want to take every text from every third row, starting with 2 (e.g. 2,5,8,11,14) and place it into column C

once I've done that, I just need to put a colon between columns B and C, which I think is something like =B1&":"&C1

then copy down, so I eventually am left with a column of text that would read:


arrive arrived : chegar
ask asked : pedir, perguntar
be was / were : ser, estar

I can then copy this into notepad and save, and I will have a valid Membar file!
