Copy range to word document

Hello, I am trying to copy and paste a spreadsheet to my word document. I only need the data with formulas and formatting transfered. When I double click on the document, I get the sheet but I can scroll down to lots of empty cells beyond the data. How do I limit the copied data only to what I have selected?

Just a thought but should I be creating a table in Excel first and transferring just the table?
