I am just wondering if anyone has come across hyperlink for drop down menu in a cell, i have a cell which has 4 items ,and i would like to link each item to diffrent hyperlink , when i assign a hyper link to fisrt item , it is autoatocally assigned to all item in the same cell
I have never seen multiple different hyperlinks in the same cell. I don't think that it is ordinarily possible. VBA? I don't know.

many thanks for the reply , i have tried but it is not possible, i am not sure what is the good way to do it , link the drop down menu items to word documents
You can create a list of operating hyperlinks and use that list to create a Data Validation drop down list. The result is not a hyperlink but you can address the contents of the cell with the drop down list with a formula that is a hyperlink.
If A1 has a drop down list with hyperlinks, enter this where you want the actual hyperlink. The result is a hyperlink that works. The second element of the formula is the "friendly name". I repeated A1 so the hyperlink is what is displayed.
Formula:
=HYPERLINK(A1,A1)
In the following, A1 has the drop down list, A5 has the hyperlink and column E is the source for the Data Validation.
