I have been working on this for about a week and a half and I can;t seem to make it work. I am not that 'excel-savvy' nor do i know how to use VBA but here is my problem:
1) I have a folder containing: 1 "master" file, 1 "data" file, and 12 "individual" files
2) this folder is in a shared drive (i.e. Drive :\Y)
3) the "data" file is where the client list is update regularly
4) each "individual" file contains their own client list (automatically generated) from the "data" file as it is updated
5) each "individual" file has a table area that is updated DAILY depending on the day column and client list row and is selected via drop-down
7) the "master" file has the same format as the individual files except it is consolidated
8) i would want data from these individual files to auto-update the "master" file real-time whenever they are updated as reports are linked to it (the "master")
The attached files have comments in them so you may see the requirements. (My apologies in advance for attaching all files but my purpose is for you to see how many files are in the folder).
I have tried using different formulas and I am now so overwhelmed as each time I open the master, the links to the individual files get broken. I am not familiar with vba so I do not know how to use them. Attached is a simplified sample and I am hoping someone can help me.
