wanting to add numerical value depended on a alpha code

i am trying to add a numerical figure in a cell but it will vary depending on what text is added to another cell.

my question is, how if at all can this be done?

In cell A4 i have a 4 letter code that relates to a numerical figure which i would like in cell C4 automatically instead of me having to enter the numerical figure manually.
