    Hiding tab names

I have a workbook with 10 tabs. I wish to hide 9 tab names, keeping the first tab name visible to the user and all 10 worksheets can be seen.

I have so far only been able to hide all the tab names.

I wish to complete this task without using VBA.

    Thanks for your help.

right click on the tab and select hide, is that what you need?

CTRL+click to select the tabs you want to hide, right-click and select Hide.

    That is very confusing.

Do you mean something like this:

    \Sheet1/\____/\____/\____/\____/\____/

Where the sheet tabs are visible but the sheet names are not?

    I don't think that's possible.

    Re: Hiding tab names

It's possible alright, but you have to name your sheets thus:

    SPACE
    SPACE SPACE
    SPACE SPACE SPACE

    and so on.

    Re: Hiding tab names

Interesting tip AliGW but that won't "hide" tab names, just replace them so they aren't named. This is how a reference to a tab like that might appear... =' '!A2

I realise this - it's a fudge and might work depending on what the OP wants.

I'm surprised that MS allows the entire sheet name to be nothing but space chars!
