Hi,
Not with conditional formatting. Formatting, conditional or otherwise can't change anything in the underlying cell, merely present it in a different way.
You could use in B1

Hello and thanks for quick reply,
Both A1 and B1 contaion a drop list. But I would like B1 to to change to "float" everytime "float" is selected in A1.
What I would like is for B1 to automatically select "float", if it is selected in A1. I cant use formulas because they get erased when a selection is made from the drop list.
Hi,
You can only do this with a macro - see attached.
If you want to force B1 to read "float", why do you need B1 to also have a drop down?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

This is a poker dealer rotation and I need the user to be able to input what table the dealers are dealing throughout the shift
If "FL"is selected, then I would like the rest of the shift to change to "FL", but still contain the drop list in case the dealer has to go back to work.
I have attached part of the file so maybe it will make more sense, thanks again for the help
