Question Selections of more than one cell with single click

I have a user that when they click on a single cell (in Excel 2007 in Page Layout view) they have 3 or 4 cells selected instead of one.
This does not happen in Normal view.
It is not a stuck key on the key board.
It is not like F8 or hold the shift key and click a second cell.
They click once and 3 cells are selected. Not every location on the spreadsheet, but different locations. Click one place and 2 cells are selected, click another place 3 cells are selected. Not in any order.
    Only in Page Layout view.

Anyone have any idea where this is coming from?

I've had this happen to me when I prematurely stop a macro from executing. Could that have been the case? Perhaps there's something in an add in or in an open event somewhere that's not finishing?

Did you ever get an answer on why that occurs or how to stop it from happening?

The OP hasn't logged onto this site in 6 years...I doubt they'll respond.

Re: Selections of more than one cell with single click

I have created an Amortization table in Excel 2013. My problem is that after payment #360, there is a balance of $0.14.

    Amount borrowed $300,000
    Period 360 months
    Rate 0.005
    Payment $1798.65

When I total out the Interest Paid, it is .14 cents short, when I total out the Principal paid, it is .14 cents over.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
