We've upgraded a few PCs to Windows 10, and since then Excel 2013 is no longer telling users reliably whether the file is already open. We have 3 users who all work from, and update, the same workbook. The workbook contains available placements, so if user 1 sees X, Y, and Z are available, they can offer that to a caller. However, user 2 may get a call and will need to see if X, Y, and Z are still available. The only way to get this to work is to know that someone already has the workbook open, ie, someone may be offering these, so I can't offer any at the moment. This has worked fine for years, but now Excel is no longer warning users that the workbook is open, which could result in 2 users offering the same placement to 2 different people. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there an easy way to get Excel to double-check this? Thanks in advance.
