    corruption transferred by every cell?

I want to transfer a worksheet from one workbook ("A") to another ("B").

Workbook A is used in a third-party application.

I have in Excel no problem with workbook A or B.

However after I did the copy operation, workbook A gives an "OLE" error in the thirdparty application.
Then I tried to copy one line from B to A, same problem.
Even when I copy an empty cell from B to A, same problem.

It seems that something in B is corrupt, and the sligthest thing copied out of this workbook to workbook A brings this corruption to workbook A.

I tried to save the B-file in older format, and as xlb, but this doesn't help.

I think the problem is caused someway by compatibility problem: workbook B was made in Windows8 (Office15, Excel2013), workbook A in Office14 (Excel 2010).
But, I repeat, there is no problem opening workbook B in Office15 independent from the thirdparty application, neither in Office14.
I find no issues in the references.

Anyone an idea how I could copy the (huge) sheet from B to A, without copying the invisible corruption that seems to be in the workbooK?

    Thanks!

Re: corruption transferred by every cell?

How are you transferring from workbook A to workbook B? OLE is Object Linking and Embedding and it appears that something is not going correctly with the process. Also there are functions in Excel 2013 that are not supported in Excel 2010 or before. If you have any of those functions in use, they will produce errors. Another question is whether or not the third party software is compatible all the functions and that is causing the problem you are facing.

Your description of the problem gives me the impression that the third part software is the problem and not Excel. If both workbooks work properly in Excel then I would be even more suspicious of the third party software.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I do not really believe in a problem with the third party software, because this works at many other users.
And because I always have taken care to downward compatibility, I really should'nt know which functions could cause a problem - anyway, never had a warning compilating.
Me myself, I don't work -as far as I know- with OLE-objects; (except perhapas if ActiveX buttons are OLE - but even after removing pushbuttons from my sheet, the problem persists).
So, I really have the impression it's an internal error in the workbook?

You are only going to solve this by methodical experimenting. Don't discard a possibility because it works with other computers. No two computers are exactly the same. There are always differences somewhere.
