Password Protection

Is there a way to find or turn off Password Protection for a spreadsheet? I have one that is in need of updating, but one or more areas is Protected and I do not have password - the creator has moved on to another company and I have no contact info

You should check with the creator's supervisor. Very likely they have all the passwords.
