Personal expenses calculator template sorting

greetings everyone, i have a slight problem on the personal expenses calculator template.on the expense log there r dates, sometimes i put the dates with years 2015, 2016(exp:1-mar-2015,1-mar-2016)... the years are mixed. what i want is to show in the date category of the dashboard sheet the choice to choose or sort between years. like if i choose 2016 and march it shows me the statistics of 2016 and march only. its basically a separation or sorting between years so the bar graph wont show the total, it should show only the yr and month i chose. ill attach it and added some notes for u to see. thanks.
