I have a new set of data every day and now I've got months of data.
I summarized them on another sheet by using different combinations of sumproduct.
Now I can get the summarized data from start to present.
How do I get the summarized data of particular month?
What I was thinking is to make it interactive. By choosing certain month, the summary table would adjust to that month.
I've done a little research of it and I found this: http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...ered-list.html
The subtotal/offset combo allows me to calculate the filtered data, so I can get what I want by filtering particular month.
But it makes my excel file extremely laggy. Even when I do some simple change, it takes at least 5 seconds to calculate. Not to mention I have to enter new data each day.
Is there a smarter way to do this? I don't want to separate the data according to its month as the project would last for years and too many files would be created. Thank you!
