Unhappy My filter isn't grabbing all the relevant data

I have a data set of ~300,000 rows and 8 columns. I have selected all the data and added a filter.

I filter column C to include the word "restaurant" and it returns a lot of results, but not all of them. It appears that it captures all of the data in the first few thousand rows but then it's only selects a few of the data points from each 5,000 rows ongoing.

I can resort the data based on column d or column e and run the same filter on Column C - it will returns different results.

I need it to display ALL of the data in Column C containing this particular word.

    Please help.

I think you are not selecting the whole data. You dont necessarily need to select the data if there are no blank rows in between..

And I suspect there are in your sheet..

Can you manually select the whole data till the end and retry the autofilter?
    Cheers!

No luck. Still does the same thing.
There are also 0 blank rows - I checked that first thing.

Is it possible to attach the workbook? (Without any confidential data ofcourse!)

Re: My filter isn't grabbing all the relevant data

I just tried to upload but it said the file was too large.. Is there any other way to upload or share?

Here are the exact steps I took:

Filter column B with the word "fitness"
    Remove it
Sort column F in ascending order
Filter column B with the word "fitness"

An entire different data set appears. I know this because after I filtered it the first time, I applied the word "fitness" to everything in the industry column (less a few specific rows). When I resort it, it filters data that doesn't contain the word "fitness" in the industry column.

Re: My filter isn't grabbing all the relevant data

    Hi,

    I checked out the file..

But why do you think that all the data is not being filtered?

I cross checked using formulas, and I think it is filtering perfectly..

There should be 5554 records in column B with the word "fitness" in the cells.

Click on the filter button for column B and click on Text Filters, Contains and enter fitness without quotes or anything else.

    5554 records will be returned.

    This was confirmed with:
