Formula involve calculation of number of days

Hi All
I am trying to workout this formula which involves calculation of number of days but unable ,
formula i am trying is
=(417240-173873)/(today()-31 Dec 2015)

can you help to correcting the formula

How about this?

=(417240-173873)/(TODAY()-"12/31/2015")

Not very sure what the formula does though

Formula does work on my Laptop But it didn't work on My Office PC, whereas I have Office 2010 On all
Can you check

Check the regional settings on your Office PC, make sure the date formats are the same as yoru laptop.
