Semi automatic entry of match scores

Hi Forum.
You were very helpful last time so I'm hoping for similar success.

In my bowls league spreadsheet I would like a formula such that an entry of a value of 20 or less in a cell (say in A1) will automatically insert the value 21 in the adjacent cell (B1) and vice versa.
i.e 20 or less in B1 will insert the value 21 in A1. I have tried using the 'IF' function but am not knowledgable enough (a little learning, etc!)

Hi Vets,

In Excel,

1. A cell can not contain the value and formula at same time.
2. Two cell can't have functions depending on each other criteria range. This will return to Circular Reference.
