Is it possible for a slicer to work on multiple data tables (tables, not pivot tables) at one time? I have 5 tables each on a separate tab. They heave varying numbers of columns and are all formatted as tables.
While they have many different columns, they all have some of the same columns (year, month, facility) with the exact same column headers/names. That's what I want the slicers to filter.
I have a summary page where I want to see a rollup of numerator/denominator and percentage for each table. I want to use the same slicers so when someone sets 'Facility A' they'll see facility A data for all 5 tables. I can do this with data extraction and data validations drop downs....but I was trying to be cooland use data slicers.
A few important factors:
*I'm using Excel 2013
*My file is an xlsm as I have some other macros running
*When I click on the slicers I have (set up using the first data table), I've tried "report connections" but it's always grayed out
*my tables are data tables not pivot tables
*when I tried power pivot, only two of my five data tables were recognized?????? What?!
Any suggestions? As I work for a medical facility, I can't share the file due to HIPPA and it would be painstaking to recreate. Thank you - Andrea
