    Recovery

    Hi
    I am woried my hard drive is a bit iffy at the moment, can I auto save to USB Storage Device
    and if my main drive dies can I recover the file from usb to new fresh install of Excel 2003 ??

    USB storage devices are easily corrupted. If you have Excel 2013 it is very easy to save directly to OneDrive (Microsoft's cloud storage system). With Excel 2010, you can also save to the cloud rather than a local drive by navigating to 'Save & Send' > 'Save to Web' (requires a Windows Live ID/Hotmail account). However, I would not personally recommend cloud storage if you are dealing with sensitive data such as customer details.

    Thank you for your help, the PC this is on is stand alone, no network/internet so cloud is out
    Since I posted this problem, hard drive has dropped out, so it will be new drive, reformat and start again
    I will use later version of excel as well, thanks again for your help : )
