    Extrapolating data

    Hi,

Attached is a spreadsheet which has a list of questions which have been answered by people in different departments of an airport. I need it so that I can easily see how many people from for example Flight Crew agreed with each question, how many disagreed etc. I have put on the other tab how I need it to look. I've been going through, putting of filters doing it which is taking ages and was wondering if anybody knew a quicker way of doing it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

What counts as "Office?". The numbers don't seem to add up

    Re: Extrapolating data

This just calculates the answers to question 1 (Export 1.1!column B)

    in
    Sheet1!C4
    =SUMPRODUCT(('Export 1.1'!$B$2:$B$287=$B4)*('Export 1.1'!$A$2:$A$287=C$2))
    copy C4 to C5:C8

    now copy C4:C8 to E4:E8 G4:G8 I4:I8 and K4:K8
Make sure Sheet1 column B descriptions match EXACTLY the replies in Export 1.1! column B
Make sure the headings in Sheet1 row 2 match EXACTLY the descriptions in Export 1.1! column A

    I haven't attempted the %s

How are you going to put the remaining 54 questions on the Sheet1 spreadsheet?

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

Here you go. If any of the departments are incorrect, just change them to be correct in that list off to the right.
