I am working on a spreadsheet which I copied from Google Docs and all the gridlines are visible except for a few and I don't know to restore them. I unchecked the gridlines and checked them again and it's still the same. Very frustrating.

The content is overflowing into other cells therefore hiding those gridlines? This can be invisible characters aswell.

Perhaps there is a border formatting problem with the cells that demonstrate this problem. Try using the format painter to restore the borders that are missing.

There is a grid line check box under view I think. Another option would be to highlight the sheet (click in the upper corner) and use the borders feature.
Make contributors happy, click on the "* Add Reputation" as a way to say thank you.

If it turns out to not be a formatting problem, it could be a problem with screen refresh.....is this a large worksheet?
Gridlines only appear on cells with no fill. Select the cells, Fill > No Fill.
