    Data Labels auto fill

    Hi

    I have 5 columns:

    Companies | Working | Working % | Not Working | Not Working %

I made a chart using the companies | Working | Not Working

I want the Working % and Not working % to be in the data label instead of the normal values

On excel 2013 I was able to do it by highlighting the data labels, clicking format and choose from value and it would set them up perfectly

But at work they use excel 2007 and all the data labels turned to [Cell Range]

I know you can click each data label individually and type "=" and then click on the cell you want to set it to

but I've got loads of data labels and if there was a way to do it like 2013 that would be great

If possible I want it to add % value automatically from the same column every time I add a new value e.g. Company E, Company F (if there is a way to do that)

    Thank you very much

Here is an attachment of an example:book3.xlsx

    Hi Fawnlemur,

To add the data label for %age you can follow these steps:- When you will click on chart then 2 contextual tabs will get appear, then click on Design tab, go to in the Chart layout's group, click on "Add Chart Element", where you will see the "Data Label" option when you will click on "Data Label option" then you will get drop down, from the drop down list just select "More Data Label Options". You will get a Format Data Label's dialog box where you need to click on Label options, then click on Value from cells and click on select range, whatever you will select from there you will get that as data label.
    Thanks

    Re: Data Labels auto fill

    Glad it worked for you...

Nothing...Its just i changed the color of lines to "No Color" and then increased the size of the "Market" and colored it....And it worked as per your requirement.

Also, you can try the option provided by user @Nisha Dhawan only in case if you have 1 data label to show in chart without selecting the range of it in chart.

If you have got the solution for your query, please don't forget to say thanks to the people who helped you and take few seconds marking this thread as SOLVED
