How can my pasted links keep being updated when I save a new version of source file?

Hi all

I'm trying to copy and paste a graph from one file to another. The idea being that when I change the graph in the source file, it automatically updates in the second file. This works fine if I paste special - link but I have a problem with the source file. Every time I make a change to the source file, I save it as a new document (so have lots of old files).

My question is, is it possible for the graph in the second file to constantly be linked to my 'latest' source file or will I have to copy and paste it every time?
