Hello,
I have an excel file which contains 500 students' IDs in a random order, Let's say from A2-A501, and the adjacent column (From B2-B501) contains their grades in an exam. I have another file which also contains the same IDs of the 500 students (A2-A501), however, not in the same order as in the first file, and this time, column B states their date of birth (B2-B501). For further clarification, here's an example:
File 1:
---A---B--
1 ID1 81
2 ID2 79
3 ID3 99
4 ID4 90
5 ID5 87
6 ID6 100
File 2:
----A------B-----
1 ID2 6/5/1999
2 ID6 21/3/1999
3 ID1 1/6/1999
4 ID3 1/1/1999
5 ID5 20/7/1999
6 ID4 26/12/1999
My question is, how can I match the dates of birth to the students in File 1 (In Column C) without manually searching through the IDs and copying each time the date of birth? I've done that 50 times already and it's become quite tiring.
Thanks in advance for the help
PS: I have the 2013 Excel version.
