Need zeros to appear in currency formatted columns

I have a column formatted for currency. When I enter a zero into that column it disappears. I need it to display $0.00. How do I get it to display a zero without displayying all the zeros in the whole workbook.

Do you have any code or conditional formatting on the sheet? I checked on a blank workbook, highlighted a column and formatted for currency and it displays $0.00 as you are wanting it to. Can you attach the workbook you are using?

File is attached. R7 and R8 currently have a zero entered in them, but show as blank.

In the advanced options under File, the checkbox for "Show a zero in cells....." wasn't checked. I've checked it and attached file for you.

The reason that was unchecked is because there are other cells within the workbook that have zeros in them that I DO NOT want to display. I am looking for a way to only display the zeros in specific columns, not the entire workbook.

My bad. I used conditional formatting for all the cells that were not in the Unit Cost columns. I selected all the other columns while holding Ctrl, then clicked Conditional Formatting, New Rule, Format only cells that contain, then selected Specific text, containing, 0. Then went to Format, selected Custom, then under type entered 0;-0;;@ This will show a blank in any cell that has a 0, other then the Unit Cost column cells. See attached, look at cells T7 and T8

If you enter a value such as 0.000000000001 (US Format), it will display $0.00 and should not affect calculations.
