Freeze rows and columns at the same time

Good Morning to All. I am trying to keep the top row and the first column frozen (or split) so I can see both as a move through the sheet. I can only get either a column or row frozen but not both at the same time. Is it possible to do both at the same time? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks...Steve

Select B2 cell (desired row +1, desired column +1) and use View -> Freeze Panes
