Custom Format Excel

Hi

I have a problem merging two text into one cell

eg.

cell A1 = CMA CGM SAMSON Cell B1 = USC13S

cell B1 actually only "13" the text "USC" and "S" is added by custom format
I use =a1&" "&"&b1 but it got me "CMA CGM SAMSON 13"
can anyone help how I can get "CMA CGM SAMSON USC13S" as my result
oh ya the format of "USC" and "S" is not always the same it can be "USD" and "W" or many else
hope anyone can help me solve this.

There are obviously rules that determine whether B1 is USC or USD or W etc
Use those rules to concatenate the result you want

thanks for your reply, but I don't understand what you mean by rules that determine whether B1 is USC or any.
all I know is when I see the format cell its customize with this "USC"#"S" or "USD"#"W" or other else with diff text
usually I just retype it so it can be merge with all text that I want, but I just wonder if there is easy way to do it.
