Excel 2013 blank background on file open

    Hello,
Within the last month I have a weird problem on 2 computers running Office 2013 Small Business
When I open some excel files they appear as blank documents. However if I click on random cell I can see the data in the formula bar. (see attached picture). To get rid of this I always have to press the arrow at the right of the formula bar. The all the data appear in the sheet.
I have to do this every time I open an excel file. Is there anyway to fix this issue permanently? Any suggestion would be highly appreciated!

    Spreadsheet is hidden?

Go into Options, Advanced, in the Display options for this worksheet area make sure the option Show Rows and columns is ticked. then click ok.
Then click top left hand corner of spreadsheet to select whole spreadsheet. View Menu, Unhide.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
