    Multi tier lookup tables

Attached is a simplified example of what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to sum all the Amounts in TABLE B that match the Account #'s in TABLE A that match the Descriptions in TABLE C. The formulas will go in cells C3:C4.

    I'm stumped. Any help?

For either C3 or C4 formula confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula.

Thank you for that. May I throw a curve ball? Attached is the same problem but this time I need to
sum the amounts in TABLE B where the left 6 dimension characters match the account #'s in TABLE A which match the description in TABLE C.
    Thanks a million.

If you want ,You can write CASH instead of B3 ( likewise B4 or PRODUCT SALES)

This in an array formula and so must be confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER and not just ENTER.

    Re: Multi tier lookup tables

Is Table A and Table B always in the same dimension (size) and

Each item will appear only one time in the tables?
