    Exclamation Using Solver in Excel

    Screen Shot 2015-03-17 at 6.02.58 PM.png

i need to use solver to find the optimal product mix in in order to maximize profits, any insight into how to accomplish this is much appreciated!
i can find the solver tool but i am not sure which cells to designate to what and how?

i need to solve for the production quantities for each product as well as the hours used for each task in production based on those production quantities which maximize profits?

Hours required can't exceed hours available.

that what i thought thank you, now i assume my changing variable cells are the quantities produced as well as the hours required, and my set objective is F7 representing total profit but when i put F7 into the set objective it says it needs to be a formula and i dont know what formula to put ?

    Re: Using Solver in Excel

You need formulas to calculate the hours needed by labor type and the total profit as a function of the production quantities.

You tell me. If you build one fan of each type, how many labor hours do you need?
