I’m open to any suggestions of how to accomplish. My original idea was to use whatif’s and conditional formatting, but I’m stumped.

I have a large warehouse with thousands of racks. In excel, I have a map of the whse with each rack as a cell, with each cell labeled. I want a visual snapshot of where different product is located. If a separate list has one of the corresponding rack locations I need that cell to highlight. (using to consolidate like product in same area)

Example: If the list has JJ03, JJ08 and ZZ89 (plus possibly 1,000 other locations), I want the cell in the map to highlight.

I’m probably an above average user of excel but very limited VB experience. I was working on an idea using multiple sheets. If cell on sheet1, cell ‘C3’ changes to 1, sheet with whse map, cell ‘C3’ changes to yellow based on conditional formatting. But how can you easily change sheet 1?

I apologize if this isn’t the right type of request for this forum. Thought it might be a different challenge!
