    help with vlookup and sum

    Hi,
    can somebody help me with a formula for:
    look up value from main table in table 1 and in table 2, if 2 values found, then sum up, if only 1 value found then give the value
    would be awesome...it's killing me

    Attach a Workbook
    (please do not post pictures or links to worksheets)
    • Click Advanced (next to quick post),
    • Scroll down until you see "Manage Attachments",
    • Click that then select "add files" (top right corner).
    • Click "Select Files" find your file, click "open" click "upload"
    • Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    • Click "Done" at bottom right to close the Attachment Manager.
    • Click "Submit Reply"

    Given the lack of information provided, you're going to have to fill in some gaps but, basically:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.


    Where Table1 and Table 2 are the ranges to be searched, and column1 and column2 are the columns where the values are to be found.

    If either entry is missing, a zero will be returned.

    Make sure your workbook is less than 1 megabyte in size. Usually only a dozen rows or so on each of the relevant tabs is enough.

    New quick method:
    Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

    Or you can use this way:

    How to mark a thread Solved
    Go to the first post
    Click edit
    Click Go Advanced
    Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
    Change to Solved
    Click Save
