SUMIF(INDIRECT Assistance

Hi,

Can anyone please advise me of the formula I require to replace my current formula i.e.

=SUMIF('Jul 2014'!$F$10:$F$31,"A",'Jul 2014'!$G$10:$G$31) which is in cell ‘C8’ on the ‘Summary’ tab

as I would like to replace the specific sheet reference ('Jul 2014') in the SUMIF formula so that it references the Cell that contains the month e.g. in Cell C8

Someone suggested using ‘=SUMIF(INDIRECT’ buy any assistance would be greatly appreciated

N.B. Excel version 2010

First select column B go to formatting select TEXT then enter your tab names Jul 2014 etc.

formula then for sumifs
=SUMIF(INDIRECT("'"&$B8&"'!$F$10:$F$31"),"A",INDIRECT("'"&$B8&"'!$G$10:$G$31"))
