    Propagate calendar using Excel data

    Hi All -
This is my first post - I've not really done much with Excel since they invented it, so feel free to laugh at me if this is ridiculous.

Anyway, I have a database with events that I would like to have automatically propagate a simple at-a-glance sort of monthly calendar. I got a calendar template from office.com, but there are no instructions there that I can find. I'm certain this is simple, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it happen. Also, is there any reason I should be making the database in Access instead of Excel? I sure do appreciate your help in advance!

Here is a simple way to read the first occurance of the date, and show the result to the left of the found date...
There seem to be duplicate entries in the first sheet. For entering more than one event on the same day, there will need to be additional rows under each date in the calendar, and each entry will need to receive a unique ID, which can be made with a helper column, that will count each entry for the same dayand give it a unique ID.

In this one I have added the helper column to give each entry a unique ID. I have changed the calendar to be able to accept up to 3 events for the same day. For more events, add rows under the last event-row of each week in the calendar, and change the ID code number from "$3" to "$4" in the formula. This will then read a 4th event for this day and so on.
