    Dropdown list to link specific data from other sheets

    Hi everyone in the forum, I’m Vannarath. I have some problems need for help. I had a lot of sheets in one excel file which defined one sheet(Main Sheet) to find data from other sheets just click dropdown list as attachment file. Thank for your help.Test to find data.xlsx

    cell A10 =indirect("'"&a1&"'!d5")
    Notice my main language is not English.

    Since I notice you want your codes parsed as well I used a bit of a different approach. The file is attached.

    I want Code column for other sheets link to main sheet in five columns ex. 60011 for one column to main sheet 5 columns 6 0 0 1 1. sorry I am not good at English.

    Since the code is equal to the sheetname, you can also refer to cell a1 and avoid the indirect formula for those cells.

    Then why not only this for code on Main Sheet.

    Since code is same which is selected from the drop down list in A1, so no need to reference the other sheets......

    @ FlameRetired
    No need to use the $ sign for absolute reference inside the Indirect, since Indirect treats them absolute automatically.

    Thanks for that. I struggle with INDIRECT. Still learning.

    Good point. It never occurred to me to parse what was right in front of my face. LOL
