Pasting Formula not updating.

I've got a simple formula (ABS(E31-W31) (ABS(8.000-7.623)) the results are 0.377.
I "copy" "paste" the formula down the column and all the results are 0.377.
I looked in the formula at E32 to see if the formula maybe didn't paste correctly but it has.
(ABS(E32-W32) but still= 0.377??? Should be (ABS(8.000-77708.445)) = 77700.445
And this is the case all the way down the column; all read 0.377 like it's needs time to calculate.
I can enter the formula one by one manually and they work just won't in (copy/paste).

check you options to make sure that under formulas it is set to automatic and not manual.

That was it. Didn't know there was such a option even.
