Merge & Center random cells

I have data on for example Rows 1, 3, 9, 14 and 17.
Is there a simpler way, whereby I can merge and center the data in each row across 4 columns.
I have many more rows that I need to do this with so I was hoping there was a simple way of selecting the different rows and then Merge and Center quickly.

Maybe this will help you.(but it's a solution without merging cells)
1. Select columns from A to D.
2. Right-click on the selection, choose "Format cells" from a pop-up menu, and click "Alignment" tab.
3. Then, in "Text alignment"/Horizontal combobox select "Center Across Selection".

P.S. I use Excel 2013, but I think this option is also in 2010 version.
